Dubrobots Soundsystem Volume One

Better late than never (arguably), here's Dubrobots Soundsystem Volume One. It's an hour-long mix guaranteed to get any social gathering up on their feet (and heading for the exit), featuring several tracks remixed, re-edited and reassembled by Dubrobots, along with several that we've left as they are, cos we like them like that. We had hoped to premiere this set at the recent Oxjam Shyffl night, hence the intro that we couldn't be arsed editing out, but for various reasons that didn't happen. So here it is in its full "glory" for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, or in your car, or on the train, or anywhere that you fancy really. What an age we live in.

It's a big file (132 mb), so it may take a while to download. Is it worth the wait? Probably not, no. But here it is anyway. No artwork or tracklisting this time, but if you want that sort of thing, drop us a line at dubrobotsATyahoo.co.uk and Jim'll fix it for you.

Edit : Link was broken, now fixed
Another edit : We should probably get rid of that bit about Jim'll Fix It now, shouldn't we?

Dubrobots vs global warming, and other news

Dubrobots have contributed a new track to Shyffl, featuring the vocal talents of TV weather girl Sian Lloyd. It will be premiered at Shyffl @ Nos Da in Cardiff on the 28th October, and will be included on a CD available to buy on the night (and only on the night), with all proceeds going to Oxfam. Tons of groovy bands will be playing, and there might just possibly be a short DJ set from Dubrobots Soundsystem. Maybe. You can hear an exclusive instrumental version of our contribution on our music player on this here page.

More details (in Welsh and English) here, here, and here.

In other news, we've also mixed a few tracks for those... er... freaky boys, The Freaky Boys. They've posted one of them on their myspace page here.

And in geek news, from now on if you click a link on this site, your download should start automatically without re-directing you to Mediafire. Also, our email address seems to be up the spout, so for the time being, contact us on dubrobotsATy*hoo.c*.*k, and maybe you can hire the A-Team. Or something.

That is all

Another extract from Dubrobots Soundsystem Volume One

Look, honestly, it is coming soon, ok? Promise. We've just been, like reeeally busy.

To keep you teased and tantalised, we give you another exclusive track from Dubrobots Soundsystem Volume One. We've worked our voodoo magic to bring you :

Super Furry Animals vs The Orb - Cool Retriever In A Golden Harbour

Lovely.

Edit 02/04/12 - this file had been deleted by The Man, but it's back now. No one puts Dubrobots in a corner (unless they delete it again and terminate our account, we'll be in a corner then).

Available now on iTunes

The Dubrobots remix of Dafydd ap Llwyd's "O Fri" is now available to buy from iTunes . So if you haven't already nabbed it for nowt, then it's too late, you'll have to pay for it now. And if you have already nabbed it for nowt, why not buy it anyway, and make a few bob for young Dafydd (and us)? The track is still available to listen to on our player on this page, so you can try before you buy. Although by now, you should recognise the Dubrobots "brand" as a guarantee of quality and satisfaction (and waiting a long time for anything new).

Search iTunes for Wyn Williams, and you should find it (so we're told, we haven't actually looked).
